Seattle

I've been getting a lot of work lately for mobile phone applications and that sort of thing, so that's always nice to have. :) My friend Kimlinh is taking a class in Hollywood next week and I'm hoping to go with her...we'll see if it's not too late to get on the list.

This weekend I'm off to Seattle for a live announcing job :D It's for a large Super Smash Bros. event - so I get to combine two things I love, smash + announcing. Yay!

Very exciting news!

So, I got the OK from the producer to announce my latest voiceover role...and it's an incredibly exciting one!

Recently, I was called in to Mattel for an audition---working for them has always been one of my voiceover dreams, so this was a huge opportunity. I was then cast to be the official voice for Barbie on their new website, as well as recording a few lines as Barbie for an upcoming in-store display at Target!

Neither of these are available yet (the current voice on the Mattel website is of the previous voice actress) so I will be sure to update when the voice is out on the website or the display is out in Target. Thank you to everyone who wished me luck and success in my audition!

introduction

Hey everyone! Since a lot of people in the entertainment industry are creating blogs right now that follow what's going on in their career, I decided to do the same. I first moved to the Los Angeles area in early January of 2008, and that year became very eventful. I had the privilege of working with BangZoom! Entertainment---I started off doing walla (additional voices) for "Tweeny Witches" and quickly moved up to a several-episode character in "Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit" as Nimka, and landed a lead role as Eri in "AIka R-16: Virgin Mission".

I also recorded for various games that year---multiple characters in both "Away: Shuffle Dungeon" and "Luminous Arc 2" for the DS, "Eternal Poison" for the PS2 and "Neverland Card Battles" for the PSP. Later that year, I was contacted by Tom Fulp of Newgrounds (a site I've done voice work for since 2004) offering roles as Medusa and the Princesses in the popular XBOX Live game "Castle Crashers". On the side, I took classes and got my commercial reel together.

Come 2009, I received several more exciting opportunities, namely a major role in Bandai's re-release of "5 Centimeters per Second" as Kanae Sumida. I can't talk about anything else I've done due to confidentiality agreements, but I will be sure to announce them when I get the OK from the producers.

Right now I'm playing "Luminous Arc 2" on my DS---I did the voice of Karen, an outgoing teenager who bosses around her minions, as well as Elicia, a boss, for which I used a much deeper voice. It's really fun because right now I'm using Karen to fight Elicia, and Sadie and Luna (who are played by my friends and fellow voice actresses Cristina Vee and Xanthe Hunyh) are on my team!

Yesterday I had an exciting audition for a major company and this morning I recorded some phrases for a computer game to teach English as a second language. I've been lined up for several podcasts and video interviews lately relating to what I've done as both a voice actress and a competitive gamer, so I will be posting them here as well. Take care!
